The Brookhouse Home for Women has always taken great pride in decorating our home during the holidays. We have not only enjoyed the benefit of some very creative people who have added beauty to our decorations, but we have also participated in the historic Salem holiday house tour over the years. But, in 2020, our holiday lights feel different. We need this light in our lives more than ever as we struggle through what we hope to be the last months of our lockdown and isolation. We have a lot to be grateful for here at our home because our residents and staff have been so careful and we have remained healthy and safe. The lights both inside and outside of our home this year have given us all joy.
Even the smallest glimmer of light keeps the pilot light of HOPE. These are wise words from the wonderful blog “Sixty and Me” which emphasizes what matters is that we celebrate with whatever light remains.
