The Brookhouse Home received a surprise gift from the Cummings Foundation during a visit by representatives Sue Twombly and Barbara Layne on Monday, July 14.This surprise visit and generous gift of $20,000 is part of the “Make a Difference Dollars” program to provide smaller “surprise” donations to nonprofit organizations. “This gift will absolutely make a difference in the lives of the women who live here,” said Brookhouse Home Administrator Judy Kane. “We are so grateful to the Cummings Foundation for their generosity and commitment to our seniors.”The Cummings Foundation supports a wide range of causes, including human services, fairness and justice, education, healthcare, and the environment. In 2019, The Brookhouse Home was awarded a ten-year $250,000 sustaining grant from the Cummings Foundation, to be disbursed over 10 years.
